HÀ NỘI — Lê Nguyệt Minh won the seventh stage of the HCM City Television Cycling Tournament yesterday.
Minh of HCM City-Minh Giang finished first in the longest stage of the event, 199km from Vinh City of the central province of Nghệ An to Đồng Hới City of Quảng Bình Province in a time of 4:55.52.
For the second consecutive stage, Minh overcame veterans Lê Văn Duẩn and Nguyễn Thành Tâm with a sprint at the death to triumph.
Minh also holds the green jersey award for best sprinter, while the white jersey for the best young cyclist is worn by Nguyễn Cường Khang of VUS-HCM City.
Huỳnh Thanh Tùng of the Military Zone 7 retained the yellow jersey award for the best overall time after seven stages.
Tùng’s good performance helped his team, the Military Zone 7 top the team rankings.
