HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese martial artists returned home on December 18 with four golds won at the first Wushu Sanda Asian Cup held in China. 

The winners are Chu Thị Thúy Hằng in the women’s 55kg, Nguyễn Thị Trang in the women’s 60kg, Ngô Tiến Tuấn in the men’s 48kg and Tô Văn Báu in the men’s 56kg.

The three-day event, which took place at Gaoming Sports Centre in Foshan, attracted martial artists competing in 11weight categories for men and six divisions for women.

The gold medalists were awarded US$1,500 each.

The event was hosted by the Chinese Wushu Association and Wushu Federation of Asia. — VNS
