HÀ NỘI — Hoàng Anh Gia Lai will welcome star midfielder Trần Minh Vương back to action this weekend after his absence.

Vương has not played for the team for several weeks because of a stretched ligament.

He only competed for five out of 10 matches in the V.League. He was one of two best scorers of Hoàng Anh Gia Lai in 2016 season with eight goals. He has not netted any time this year.

Together with Vương’s return, coach Nguyễn Quốc Tuấn is also happy as his striker Nguyễn Văn Toàn scored against after months.

Toàn was quiet in V.League play for 900 minutes. But he scored a goal for Việt Nam national team in a match against Afghanistan in the 2019 Asian Cup qualification on March 28.

Hoàng Anh Gia Lai will host Quảng Nam at on home turf in Pleiku City on Sunday. — VNS
