Việt Nam topped the Southeast Asian Age Group Swimming Championships, which closed in Thailand on December 11.

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam topped the Southeast Asian Age Group Swimming Championships, which closed in Thailand on December 11.

The Vietnamese athletes won 39 gold, 39 silver and 27 bronze medals following three days of competitions. They also set 14 new records.

Among them, swimmer Nguyễn Diệp Phương Trâm grabbed nine titles and three records in the girls’ 100m freestyle, 100m backstroke and 50m freestyle categories.

The second position went to Indonesia, which bagged 24 gold medals. Singapore swimmers ranked third with 18 titles. — VNS
