HCM CITY — The Terry Fox Run will be held in HCM City in November 27, organisers said on Tuesday.
This is for the 20th year that the charity run will be organised in the country to raise money for cancer research.
Antony Nezic, organiser and president of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Việt Nam, said, “Last year the Terry Fox Run attracted more than 15,000 participants, raising more than VNĐ2.3 billion.
“The Terry Fox Run Việt Nam is the third largest run in the world. We are currently utilising funds for an oral cancer research project and will announce an important new project in mid-November.”
Nezic said the event involves no sponsorship or product marketing, and its only purpose is to come together, raise awareness and donate for cancer research.
Participants can register with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Việt Nam at terryfox@canchamvietnam.org or by visiting TerryFox-vn.org.
They will run on Tân Trào Street in Phú Mỹ Hưng City Centre, District 7.
