HÀ NỘI — Lý Hoàng Nam will play Trương Giang Thanh in the semi-finals of the National Tennis Championship’s men’s singles today in Đà Nẵng City.

Nam, of Becamex Bình Dương, yesterday defeated junior teammate Nguyễn Văn Phương 6-1, 6-1, while Thanh from HCM City won 7-5, 6-7 (5), 6-4 over Vũ Artem of Bình Dương.

In the other semi-final matches, Nguyễn Đắc Tiến of Hà Nội will play Hoàng Thành Trung of Police.

On the women’s side, defending champion Trần Thị Tâm Hảo of HCM City will meet Trần Thị Bé Xuyên of Kiên Giang in the first semi-final match. Sĩ Bội Ngọc, also from HCM City, is scheduled to play Phan Thị Thanh Bình of the host in the other match.

In the doubles event, Bình Dương representatives Hoàng Nam and Văn Phương will be slated against Giang Thanh and Quốc Khánh of HCM City in the men’s final.

Đà Nẵng’s Thanh Bình and Đan Thi will meet HCM City’s Thanh Trúc and Bội Ngọc in the women’s final.

In the mixed doubles final, Thanh Hoàng and Kim Ngân (Military) will face Quốc Khánh and Tâm Hảo (HCM City). — VNS
