HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam have sent 40 athletes to take part in the Vietnam F2 Men’s Futures in Bình Dương Province.
Most of them will compete in the qualifications against other international rivals beginning today. The eight best competitors will then advance to the main round.
Lý Hoàng Nam and Nguyễn Hoàng Thiên are two Vietnamese who will compete in the main round tomorrow.
Earlier, Nam, Thiên, as well as all the Vietnamese, failed to win in the F1 tournament, which closed yesterday.
The men’s singles match No 1 Hong Seong Chan of South Korea beat Indian Rishab Afarwal 6-1, 6-2 to take the title.
Duo Christopher Rungkat and David Agung Susanto of Indonesia won the doubles event, defeating Japan’s Gengo Kikuchi and Shunrou Takeshima 6-3, 6-1. — VNS
