HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese girls successfully defeated powerhouse South Korea 3-1 in the quarter-finals of the SMM 18th Asian Women’s U19 Volleyball Championship yesterday in Thailand.
Việt Nam did their best job since the beginning of the tournament winning 30-28, 13-25, 25-20, 25-17 in the quarter-final match.
In the last-four round on July 30, they will next play Japan who beat Kazakhstan 25-10, 25-10, 25-19 in an earlier match.
In the other semis, China will meet hosts Thailand who beat Chinese Taipei 25-23, 22-25, 25-19, 25-18.
The final will be held on July 31. — VNS
