HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam dropped six places in FIFA’s July ranking which was released this week.
The team now stands in 139th position, which places them at No 3 in Southeast Asia behind Thailand at 121, and the Philippines at 135.
The world’s top five remain unchanged with Argentina, who lost to Chile in the final of the Copa America last month, on top. They are followed by Belgium, Colombia, Germany and Chile.
After their Euro title, Portugal have jumped two places to No 6. France are up 10 slots to No 7. Wales and Iceland also make significant progress to No 11 and No 22, respectively. — VNS
