Việt Nam 3 defeated Việt Nam 1 2-0 yesterday afternoon at the Asian Beach Volleyball Championship in Hạ Long City, Quảng Ninh Province.
Việt Nam 3 have advanced into the quarter-final round where they will play New Zealand.
Earlier, Việt Nam 1 were defeated 0-2 by Australia 2 in the morning session.
In other matches, Việt Nam 2 played two matches yesterday with the same score of 0-2 against China and Japan.
Việt Nam 1 and 2 will compete for positions from 9 to 14 today.
The tournament, which sees 14 teams from eight nations, will wrap up tomorrow. – VNS
