Nguyễn Dương Hồ Vũ won his first stage at the HCM City Television Cycling Cup yesterday.

Vũ of BTV Bình Dương won the 128km race from Đà Nẵng to Quảng Ngãi with a time of 3hr 10.14min.

This is the first time the 17-year-old has taken a stage win in a national tournament.

Cao Minh Luân of the Military and Nguyễn Văn Thế of BTV Bình Dương came in second and third, respectively.

The result, however, did not change the overall ranking after nine stages.

Nguyễn Thành Tâm of An Giang kept his yellow and green jerseys.

VUS HCM City still top the team rankings list.

The 10th stage today will see cyclists tour from Quảng Ngãi to Quy Nhơn City in 180km. -- VNS
