HÀ NỘI — The match between Thăng Long Warriors and Cần Thơ Catfish kept the audience onf the edge of their seats right up until the last minute. The Warriors claimed victory in the end with a score of 83-78.

The Catfish attracted media attention before the match by replacing point guard Ja Morgan with Brachon Griffin - MVP of the Indonesia Basketball League 2022.

Griffin has brought a new breath to the Catfish's lineup with his speed and skilful playing style.

With Griffin on the court, DeAngelo Hamilton and Michael Soy had more space and time to score points.

The first half ended with a 10-point difference (36-46) to the Catfish.

The first two quarters gave Catfish's fan hope, being the first time this season they'd shown such great performance.

However, the third and fourth quarters brought that hope to its knees. The Catfish players, especially Griffin, kept losing the ball, helping the Warriors to take the lead.

Sameen Swing and John Fields maintained excellent form as they kept the Warriors in control of the match.

In the final 17 seconds, the score was 81-78 for the Warriors, Trương Hoàng Trung of Warriors failed to hit a three-pointer, but Catfish players also failed to rebound.

The ball went to Swing and he made a perfect pass for John Fields to make a dunk.

There wasn't enough time left for the Catfish to make a comeback.

Sameen Swing won the MVP of the match with 36 points, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds, while John Fields had a double-double, 16 points, and 19 rebounds.

Griffin of Catfish had a pretty bad day with a "double-double", 19 points and 10 turnovers. VNS
