The northern region is preparing to welcome the first cold spell of this autumn-winter, as temperatures are expected to decrease from 10 degrees Celcius, the Central Hydro-meteorological Forecast Centre has said.

HÀ NỘI — The northern region is preparing to welcome the first cold spell of this autumn-winter, as temperatures are expected to drop as much as 10 degrees Celsius, the Central Hydro-meteorological Forecast Centre has said.

The cold spell is forecast to occur from the north on September 7, and will bring cold weather and strong winds to north-central localities.

Northern provinces will experience heavy rainfall from September 6, with the temperature dropping between 5 and 10 degrees Celsius, and becoming cold at night on September 7.

In Hà Nội, the highest temperature is expected to be from 29 and 31 degrees Celsius.

The central region will experience rain, with temperature dropping to between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius.

On September 10, temperatures will increase. — VNS
