Students of Lê Ngọc Hân Primary School won top prizes in the categories of NXT and EV3’s apprentices and veterans divisions in HCM City’s annual Robothon Contest 2017 for students of primary and secondary schools throughout the city held on November 4.

HCM CITY — Students of Lê Ngọc Hân Primary School won top prizes in the categories of NXT and EV3’s apprentices and veterans divisions in HCM City’s annual Robothon Contest 2017 for students of primary and secondary schools throughout the city held on November 4.

In the EV3 category’s experts division, students of Collete Secondary School won the champion prize.

Teams with excellent achievements in the contest will attend the International Robothon Contest in the Philippines held on November 26.

The contest creates a platform for students in the city to be creative, according to the city Department of Education and Training.

It is held every year by the department in co-operation with DTT Eduspec Joint Venture- STEM Institute, attracting 41 teams from primary and secondary schools in the city this year.

The Theme this year was the “productive chemlab” to offer solutions for hazardous waste and poison, which workers can be exposed to in the chemical industrial.

In the contest, students used their robot to synthesize new substances, carry out catalysis reaction process, purification process, substance disintegration and product allocation. —VNS
