ĐÀ NẴNG – The first session of the Asian Youth Forum 14 was held yesterday afternoon at the Đà Nẵng University of Foreign Language Studies.

The forum, under the theme "Developing Leaders for the 21st Century," was co-organised by the Đà Nẵng University of Foreign Language Studies and the Balsamo Outreach for Learning and Teaching.

The forum is an occasion for 100 outstanding youth from Asian countries to discuss and share their plans for taking responsibility within the community.

The forum aims to strengthen relations between Asian youth, improving their awareness of their responsibilities towards the community and creating good conditions for them to execute their plans to serve the community in the future.

During the one-week forum, the youth will introduce the specific cultural characteristics of their localities. They will also study basic Vietnamese and other Asian languages.

The forum members will visit 14 famous tourist sites in Việt Nam, including the Ancient Capital of Huế and the Hội An Old Quarters.

The forum will end this Sunday. – VNS
