HÒA BÌNH — Deputy Prime Minister Trần Lưu Quang has asked Hòa Bình northern province to quickly deploy infrastructure projects, especially the Hòa Bình-Mộc Châu Expressway and the Lương Sơn-Kim Bôi Road.

He made the statement on Monday in a conference announcing Hòa Bình Province’s planning for 2021-30 period, with vision to 2050.

He also asked the province to well implement national target programmes, take care of ethnic groups, and train workers with strong ethics and knowledge.

In planning work, the Deputy PM noted that Hòa Bình must always comply with assigned directions and solutions to achieve the set goals, and be flexible in organising and implementing tasks.

He affirmed that the province’s potential, advantages and abundant resources were the prerequisites for its breakthrough to enter a new period of development.

Hòa Bình Province's planning was developed consistently with the socio-economic planning and strategy of the region and the whole country.

This is a necessary tool to manage and operate all sectors and fields, as well as effectively use the province's resources.

The planning demonstrates new thinking and vision to create opportunities, new motivation and new values for the province.

Chairman of the Hòa Bình Province People's Committee Bùi Văn Khánh pledged to make more efforts and innovation.

The province would firmly apply policies in instruction, improve public service ethics, and focus on the people’s benefits, happiness and satisfaction.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyễn Phi Long emphasised that the planning had a particularly important role.

It generalises the vision, viewpoints, goals and orientations of the province, according to Long.

It is also an important legal basis for arranging territorial space, allocating resources, attracting investment, and maximising potential and strengths of Hòa Bình.

On this occasion, Deputy PM Quang gave VNĐ1 billion (US$40,500) to support the provincial fund for the poor, and 644 gifts to families with outstanding contribution to the nation, poor households, ethnic people and prestigious people in the province.
