HÀ NỘI — Every Thursday, a Job Transaction Session occurs at the Bắc Giang Job Service Centre, combining in-person and online methods. The centre also organises two or three monthly online sessions to connect and support recruitment based on the actual needs of businesses within and outside the province.
This is an effort to apply digital transformation in the connection and consulting work of the Centre, aiming to help secure stable employment for workers and meet the labour needs of enterprises.
The Provincial Job Service Centre of Bac Giang organises a job transaction session, connecting 14 provinces and cities in the Northern region to provide labour for businesses in Bac Giang province. |
In addition to local businesses, the sessions attract the participation of nearly 140 companies from eight northern mountainous provinces, demanding to hire more than 15,300 workers, focusing on sectors such as electronic component manufacturing, garment and fashion design, and technology. The general salaries range from VND7 to VND15 million per person per month, depending on the job position.
According to a representative from Vinahan Joint Stock Company (Sông Mai commune, Bắc Giang City), the company must hire an additional 550 workers to prepare for end-of-year production activities. Due to the urgency and large number of hires, the company contacts the Provincial Job Service Centre to connect with workers within and outside the province.
Previously, the centre had widely promoted information through various media channels and social networks, so many local workers knew about the Job Transaction Session. Each session typically attracted nearly 500 participants, with almost half of them coming to the Bac Giang meeting point to gather information, undergo interviews, and apply for suitable positions. The remaining participants opted for online interviews. Hundreds of workers passed the initial screening at the meeting points, either securing employment with the companies or receiving further appointments for face-to-face interviews.

Ms. Vũ Thị Mến (born in 1998), residing in Đồng Việt commune (Yên Dũng, Bắc Giang), had worked in industrial zones in the South for several years. She is married with a small child and desires to work in her home province. After learning about the Job Transaction Session, she found that the requirements of Hồng Hải Scientific and Technical Group matched her skills and personal conditions, so she registered for recruitment. Mến shared: "Through the online interview, I met the requirements, and the company representative scheduled me to start working in December. I hope to adapt to the new job quickly."
Under the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, one of the main tasks of the Provincial Job Service Centre is to provide advice and job introductions for labourers, as well as supply and recruit labour according to the needs of businesses. To achieve this, the specialised staff of the Centre regularly collects and analyses information about the labour market recruitment needs of businesses, as well as standards, salary and wage regulations to disseminate information widely to localities.
The Centre has actively embraced digital transformation in various activities in recent years. This includes organising online Job Transaction Sessions, conducting online interviews for export labourers, initiating the digitisation of file archives, and upgrading the website to run on IOS and Android platforms for easy access and use on mobile phones. The Centre has also launched a Zalo hotline with automatic responses and message sending to both labourers and businesses, and maximised the utility of social networks in job counselling and introductions. Through these efforts, the Centre aims to help firms and labourers quickly and easily access relevant information.
Mr. Nguyễn Văn Huế, the Director of the Centre, stated: "Our unit has strengthened the application of information technology in job connections. We frequently update recruitment needs through websites and social media pages such as the Bac Giang Job Transaction Session Fanpage, and the 'Vieclambacgiang' application. Based on the recruitment needs of each company, the Centre collaborates with vocational training institutions to assist these entities in recruiting quality and suitable labour, thereby minimising training costs and time."
