802 new coronavirus cases registered on Thursday

Việt Nam on Thursday announced 802 new COVID-19 infections in 45 localities.

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam on Thursday announced 802 new COVID-19 infections in 45 localities.

Three of the new transmissions were imported.

The national caseload since the start of the pandemic now stands at 10,728,720.

The capital city of Hà Nội again topped the country with 184 transmissions, followed by Yên Bái (66) and Phú Thọ (42).  

Other new infections were found in Đà Nẵng (33), Vĩnh Phúc (32), Quảng Ninh (29), Nghệ An (28), Lào Cai (27), HCM City (23), Tuyên Quang (22), Thái Nguyên (21), Hà Giang (19), Nam Định (19), Sơn La (19), Quảng Bình (18), Thái Bình (17), Hà Nam (17), Hải Dương (14), Lạng Sơn (13), Hòa Bình (13), Bắc Kạn (12), Lai Châu (11), Gia Lai (10), Cao Bằng (10), Hà Tĩnh (10), Hải Phòng (9), Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu (9), Hưng Yên (8 ), Bắc Giang (8 ), Ninh Bình (7), Thanh Hóa (7), Bình Phước (6), Lâm Đồng (6), Khánh Hòa (6), Quảng Trị (6), Đồng Tháp (5), Điện Biên (4), Cần Thơ (2), Bình Thuận (1), Đồng Nai (1), Bến Tre (1), Vĩnh Long (1), An Giang (1), Kiên Giang (1) and Hậu Giang (1).

No fatalities were reported with the death toll remaining at 43,081, equivalent to 0.4 per cent of infections.

4,345 recoveries were announced, taking the total number given the all-clear since the start of the pandemic to 9,535,998.

Seventy-five patients are currently receiving oxygen support.
