Minister of Foreign Affairs Lê Hoài Trung suggested that to operationalise the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, the two sides should increase all-level mutual visits and enhance coordination to fruitfully implement cooperation pillars, particularly the new focus on science – technology and innovation.

Under the new framework, both front organisations reaffirm their commitment to enhancing close coordination to further strengthen traditional friendship and good neighbourly ties between Việt Nam and Cambodia.
Opening the meeting in Hà Nội on March 23, Lâm emphasised that the agenda encompasses a wide range of extremely important issues that must be addressed without delay.
Việt Nam consistently gives high priority to its friendship with Cambodia, supports the country’s peaceful and stable development, and creates favourable conditions for the front organisations of both countries to effectively implement agreed commitments and further strengthen close cooperation.
The committee worked in groups to review the management model of national media and press agencies, the Việt Nam Academy of Social Sciences, and the Việt Nam Academy of Science and Technology in the new situation. Participants also examined working regulations of the 14th-term Party Central Committee, its Politburo and Secretariat, and the working agenda of the Party Central Committee for this term.
