UAE leaders sends sympathies over central Việt Nam's floods

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan sent a cable of condolences to Nguyễn Phú Trọng of the Socialist Republic of Việt Nam on victims of the recent floods in central Việt Nam that has resulted in serious economic damages and loss of human lives.

ABU DHABI — UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan sent a cable of condolences to Nguyễn Phú Trọng of the Socialist Republic of Việt Nam after the recent floods in central Việt Nam that resulted in serious economic damage and loss of human lives, according to Emirates News Agency.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, have also extended sympathies to the Vietnamese President.

Successive storms and bad weather hitting the central region of Việt Nam since late September and early October have left 242 people dead or missing, 200,000 houses and buildings damaged or collapsed, while total economic damages stand at VNĐ28.8 trillion (US$1.2 billion) as of November 5. — VNS
