HÀ NỘI — Party General Secretary and State President Nguyễn Phú Trọng received newly-accredited ambassadors in Hà Nội on Thursday as they presented their credentials.

They were Ambassador of Cambodia Chay Navuth, Ambassador of Switzerland Ivo Sieber, Ambassador of Venezuela Tatiana Josefina Pugh Moreno, Ambassador of Greece Georgios Stilianopoulous, Ambassador of Luxembourg Jean Paul Senninger, Ambassador of Paraguay Raul Alberto Florentin Antola, and Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Mahmoud Daiffallah Al-Hamoud.

The leader attributed Việt Nam’s recent successes to invaluable support from other countries, including those represented by the ambassadors.

He expressed his belief that the envoys would fulfill their tasks during the tenures, serving as an important bridge to foster traditional friendship and co-operation between Việt Nam and their countries.

Việt Nam always supported ambassadors as they worked to accomplish their tasks, he said, hoping that ties between Việt Nam and the countries they represented would continue to grow. — VNS
