HÀ NỘI — General Secretary of the Communist Party of Việt Nam (CPV)’s Central Committee, President Nguyễn Phú Trọng will pay an official visit to Laos from February 24-25, and a state visit to Cambodia from February 25-26, according to an announcement from the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations.

The visits will be made at the invitations of General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee and President Bounnhang Vorachith and Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni.

The traditional friendship, solidarity and comprehensive co-operation have been cemented and reinforced.

With diplomatic ties established on June 24, 1967, Việt Nam and Cambodia have continued to have high-ranking visits as well as delegation exchanges between their ministries, sectors and localities. — VNS
