The Politburo yesterday held a national conference on the implementation of the Party Central Committee's conclusions and regulation on Party building and rectification.

“Việt Nam has deployed multiple necessary citizen protection measures to safeguard the lives, the assets, and legal rights and interests of Vietnamese citizens and businesses in Myanmar,” she said, in response to questions over the course of actions for Việt Nam following reports of a telecommunication company suffering from political opposition’s sabotage attacks during the political upheaval in the Southeast Asian country.

Việt Nam is committed to building a Socialist democracy and stands ready to talk with the US on any differences, the foreign ministry spokesperson Lê Thị Thu Hằng said in response to queries on Việt Nam not being among the invitees to the US-led Summit for Democracy.

Ambassador Phạm Hải Anh, Chargé d’affaires a.i. of Việt Nam to the United Nations (UN), has highlighted the importance of building trust in solving the chemical weapon issue in Syria.
