MIPIM Asia Awards - APAC’s most extraordinary real estate projects revealed

HONG KONG, CHINA - Media OutReach - 4 October2018 - The Asia-Pacific's mostambitious, innovative and revelatory real estate projects have been chosen as winnersof the MIPIM Asia Awards 2018 -- theleading regional property awards show otherwise known as the "Oscars of theAsian real estate world".

 

A total of 30 trailblazing property developmentshave been recognised with the influential industry honour, revealed ahead of MIPIM Asia, the continent's leadingproperty summit, coming to Hong Kong November 27-28.

 

The winning entrants have been singled out in oneof ten different trophy categories, with each category's three winners nowcompeting for Gold, Silver and Bronze honours. Following a public vote, thefinal ranked victors will be announced at the MIPIM Asia Awards Gala Dinner -- a glitzy event often compared tothe Academy Awards -- to be hosted at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong on theconference's closing night.

 

"Winning a MIPIM Asia Award has long beenestablished as one of the most prestigious prizes for real estate projectsacross the APAC region," said MIPIM Director Ronan Vaspart.

 

"We celebrate the developers, architects, governmentauthorities and other property visionaries who push the boundaries, break therules, and make unimaginable possibilities the solid realities of our skylines,"he added.

 

Founded in 2007, the annual MIPIM Asia Awardscelebrate the most technically impressive, inventive and publically-enrichingproperty developments from across the APAC region, considering both finisheddevelopments and un-built projects in the planning stage.

 

A record total of 122 entries were put forward forthe MIPIM Asia Awards 2018, which werewhittled down to the final 30 winners, drawn from seven different countries andterritories, by the esteemed judging panel of 19 industry experts. Chairing thejury this year was François Trausch, an industry titan who is Chairman of theManagement Board, Executive Committee and CEO of Allianz Real Estate.

 

"The quality of submissions, already high in thepast, gets better every year," said François Trausch. "This is especially true ofentries from China where we've had really outstanding projects in allcategories. In addition, this year we had some very creative and strongsubmissions from Japan -- more than in previous years -- and we continue to havegood and creative entries from South Korea.

 

"Finally, while many of the projects are very oftenat the conceptual planning stage, we see that a lot of these megaprojects getbuilt and are now operational, and often these plans become very successfulprojects," concluded François Trausch.

 

The final Gold, Silver and Bronze winners will bedecided by a public vote drawn from the 900+ delegates expected to attend MIPIMAsia, with the results to be unveiled at the closing night Awards Gala Dinnerceremony on November 28. See below for a full list of winners.
