New Global MBAprogramme offers transformational learning experience that will develop skillsand knowledge into world-class business acumen

SINGAPORE - Media OutReach - 16 August 2018 - The University of London (UOL) launchesits Global Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme delivered by AmityGlobal Institute in Singapore this evening, 16^th August at the EmpireSky Lounge of Fifty Raffles Place. The event was graced by Guest-of-Honour ActingHigh Commissioner, Mrs Alexandra McKenzie. Academic direction for the MBA isprovided by Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), an institution that prioritises the integration of its teaching andresearch.

Thisdiverse MBA programme offers five specialist areas: accountancy, entrepreneurship & innovation, finance, law, andleadership. Students undertaking face-to-face tutor support at Amity GlobalInstitute can also choose to work towards a specialist MBA, which will be anattractive asset for career advancement across key sectors. Students will gainaccess to learning resources and study guides for each module via UOL's VirtualLearning Environment. Tutors introduce the modules,provide guidance on assessments, respond to queries, monitor discussions andprovide interventions at key points of study.

2018 marks 150 years since theUniversity of London introduced its 'Special Examinations for Women', which tenyears later, in 1878, led to the opening up of full degrees for women. TheUniversity of London was the first in the UK to do so in both instances.

To celebrate thesetrailblazing achievements as part of the University ofLondon's Leading Women campaign, the university is offering 150 scholarships to women fromanywhere in the world who wish to study the Global MBA by distance learning.The scholarship covers 40% off all fees payable for the Global MBA, to theUniversity of London.

Speaking at the launch event, Acting High Commissioner of the BritishHigh Commission, Mrs Alexandra McKenzie said, "I am delighted to witnessthe launch of UOL's new Global MBA programme this evening. The UK government isabsolutely committed to achieving gender equality at home and worldwide, andcreating education opportunities for women and girls. This is not only theright thing to do, it's the only way to ensure economic development, and createstable, prosperous societies."

The Global MBA programme is alsoaccredited by Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and CharteredInstitute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Studentswill have the chance to gain Chartered Manager status, and emerge withqualifications that are highly valued by employers.
