HONG KONG, CHINA - MediaOutReach - 15 August 2018 - ArtesynEmbedded Technologies today announced the LCM3000 series AC-DCsingle-output enclosed power supplies, which can supply up to 3000 watts outputpower with medical and industrial safety approvals. Designed to be acost-effective forced-air bulk front end power supply, the LCM3000 seriesoffers configurable nominal outputs of 12, 24, 36, or 48 volts with outputadjustability of plus or minus 25 percent and maximum current of 250 amps. A standard5V/2A housekeeping output enables OEM standby functions even when the equipmentis nominally off.

With standard features including power factorcorrection, variable speed 'smart fans', digital control, a five-year warrantyand a typical efficiency of greater than 90 percent, Artesyn is offeringpremium functionality at prices that compete with more basic power suppliesavailable in the market. Cost per watt for the new series can be as low as $0.09/€0.08in production volumes.

The LCM 3000 series measures 11 x 7.0 x 2.5 inches (approximately280 x 177.8 x 63.5 mm) and offers power density of 15.7 watts per cubic inch.

Artesyn'sLCM3000 series is ideal for industrial applications such as test andmeasurement equipment, industrial robotics, laser-carving machines, and factoryautomation; non-patient contact and non-patient critical medical, dental andlaboratory applications; as well as for telecom and datacom equipment. Withsimple firmware options, the LCM3000 can be used for battery charging and drivingLED lights.
