HÀ NỘI Some print newspapers in Việt Nam will celebrate the 45th reunification day by printing national flags on their April 29 editions.

Readers will be guided to cut the flag printed on both sides of a page in the newspaper and use the rest of the page to form the flagstaff. The small flag can be put in the office, a living room, on the car or any public places, together with flags at condos and public places to stir patriotism.

Readers will be encouraged to take photos of the flag and post on social networks with the hashtag #toiyeuvietnam to spread national pride.

Initiated by the Vietnam News Agency, various print newspapers namely Tin Tức (News), Thể Thao & Văn Hóa (Sports & Culture), Việt Nam News, The Radio Voice of Vietnam, Gia Đình Việt Nam (Vietnamese Family), Nông Nghiệp Việt Nam (Vietnamese Agriculture) and Kinh Tế & Đô Thị (Economics & Urban) will join the movement.

The initiation aims to bring readers a new experience on reunification, creating closer ties between the audience and printed newspapers.
