HÀ NỘI — A stamp celebrating the 90th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Việt Nam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2020) has just been launched in Hà Nội.
The stamp, designed by painter Tô Minh Trang of the Vietnam Post Corporation, features number 90 on the Party’s flag with the portrait of late President Hồ Chí Minh, the founder of the Party.
It also includes an image of a dove which implies peace and national independence, along with some patterns representing the country’s achievements in economy, industrialisation and modernisation under the Party’s leadership.
Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Phạm Anh Tuấn said the stamp will help improve public awareness of the Party and affirm the Party’s role, prestige, leadership capacity, combat strength and faithfulness to the nation’s interests over the past nine decades.
The stamp measures 43mm by 32mm and has a face value of VNĐ4,000 (US$0.2). It is available on the public postal network from January 31, 2020 to February 31, 2021. — VNS
