Workshop on traditional toys to open at The Factory

A workshop on tò he, small, colourful figurines made from glutinous rice powder, and traditional art will be held at The Factory Contemporary Arts Centre on June 9.

A workshop on tò he, small, colourful figurines made from glutinous rice powder, and traditional art will be held at The Factory Contemporary Arts Centre on June 9.

Participants can learn how to make tò he in the shapes of flowers, chicken and people from artisans at Vietnamme, an art project which specializes in Vietnamese inspiration and objects.

Artist Nhựt Nguyễn will give a talk on his paintings about hát bội (classical opera).

There will also be an art tour of the centre.

The workshop will take place from 9am – 12.15pm. The centre is at 15 Nguyễn Ư Dĩ Street in District 2.
