HCM CITY — The seventh annual Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards is accepting entries from Vietnamese and foreign amateur or professional photographers living in Việt Nam or abroad.
The contest this year is highlighting the beauty of the Vietnamese traditional áo dài, as well as the country’s nature, tangible and intangible cultural heritage, daily life, and tourism.
Lê Thanh Hải, editor-in-chief of Vietnam Heritage Magazine, which is organising the contest, said: “The contest aims to preserve and promote the country’s nature, history, culture, religions and festivals, as well as introduce them to the community, especially to young Vietnamese and foreigners.”
Participants can submit their work as either a single photo or a photo essay to cuocthianhdisanvietnam@gmail.com by September 30.
The contest entries will be judged by photographers Hoàng Trung Thủy and Đoàn Thi Thơ, and film director Nguyễn Quốc Hưng, deputy director of the HCM City Television Studio.
The organisers will award 12 prizes and an additional six prizes for photographers under 25 years old. The winners will be announced in November in HCM City to celebrate Việt Nam Heritage Day on November 23.
The organisers will also select the top 100 photos in the competition to display at tourism agencies, museums, schools and universities in HCM City, Đà Nẵng and Hà Nội.
The photos will be also seen online at the website https://www.vietnamheritage.com.vn. — VNS
