This is the fifth International Free Hugs Day held in Việt Nam. This year, more than 400 volunteers will participate in the event. They are students from high schools, colleges and universities around Hà Nội. Founded in 2007, Free Hugs Vietnam has attracted about 20,000 participants, mostly high school and university students.

Colourful Free Hug boards with the message Little Things Called Love will be hung at the megamall.

In 2004, the Free Hugs Campaign was initiated by Juan Mann in Australia. Currently, the programme has spread to over 80 countries including Việt Nam. — VNS
