HCM City to host film-TV technology exhibition

A wide range of latest products, services and technologies used in film and television will be on display at the sixth Việt Nam International Exhibition on Film and Television Technology in HCM City from June 7 to 9.

HCM CITY — A wide range of latest products, services and technologies used in film and television will be on display at the sixth Việt Nam International Exhibition on Film and Television Technology in HCM City from June 7 to 9.

Telefilm 2018 has attracted more than 150 exhibitors from 15 countries and territories and more than 3,000 Vietnamese and foreign film and television professionals.

VTV, VOV, VTVCab, SCTV, ADT, Vietcom, Sunrise, VFC, Vietfilm, and Fafilm will be among the local exhibitors.

There will be companies and organisations from many countries and territories with a developed film and TV industry like Japan, South Korea, Thailand, India, China, Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

Also present will be many well-known international communications and TV organisations like Thailand’s JKN Global Media Public Company Limited, Taiwan’s TV Drama Production Industry Federation, Japan’s TBS, the Korea Creative Content Agency, and Media Corp Singapore.

In addition to showcasing TV programmes and serials; value-added and support services; technology and solutions for the TV, media, and communications industries; and post-production services, the event would also feature seminars on OTT – The future of television, and TV entertainment content development in this digital transformation era.

Speaking at a press conference held on Thursday to introduce the exhibition, Nguyễn Thành Lương, deputy general director of Vietnam Television, said the exhibition would offer a forum for both Vietnamese and foreign TV stations and film producers, distributors and pre-production and post-production services to share experiences and seek business opportunities.

It would also provide opportunities for local studios to keep abreast of film and television trends and the latest filmmaking processes and production techniques, he said.

Organised by Vietnam Television’s TV Advertising and Services Centre along with ADPEX Joint Stock Company, the exhibition will he held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in District 7. — VNS
