Khánh Hòa to host ethic groups’ cultural festival

Khánh Hòa Province’s People’s Committee announced it will host the Cultural Day of Việt Nam’s Ethnic Groups on April 16-18, promising to bring a rich and colourful cultural space imbued with national identity.

KHÁNH HÒA — Khánh Hòa Province’s People’s Committee announced it will host the Cultural Day of Việt Nam’s Ethnic Groups on April 16-18, promising to bring a rich and colourful cultural space imbued with national identity.

The highlight of the festival will be a competition featuring traditional sports and folk games such as stilt walking, stick pushing, crossbow shooting and tug-of-war.

Local traditional art troupes will present music and dance performances to introduce unique customs and cultural and artistic values of ethnic groups to residents and tourists.

A presentation of the traditional costumes of ethnic groups will also be held.

A photo exhibition with the theme of Sắc Màu Văn Hóa Các Dân Tộc Việt Nam (Colours of Việt Nam's Ethnic Groups’ Culture) will showcase images of the culture and lifestyle of local ethic groups.

Khánh Hòa’s Cultural Day of Việt Nam’s Ethnic Groups in 2026 aims to honour, preserve and promote the cultural and artistic values of ethnic groups, and to create an opportunity for artisans, artists and athletes to exchange and share their experiences.

The event also contributes to strengthening national solidarity and boosting socio-economic development.

The festival will be held at the April 16 Square in Đông Hải Ward and the province’s Sports Centre in Bảo An Ward. — VNS
