South Korean Cultural Road Festival opens in Hà Nội

HÀ NỘI – A two-day cultural festival is offering local people a chance to experience South Korean Culture this weekend in Hà Nội.

The Korean Cultural Road Festival is co-organised by the Korean embassy and Korean Cultural Centre at Đỗ Nhuận Street, Xuân Đỉnh Ward, Bắc Từ Liêm District.

“The stone road behind the Korean embassy is a nice place in daily life for Hanoians,” said ambassador Oh Young-ju. “It makes a significant contribution to our cultural diplomacy in Việt Nam. We will organise cultural activities at this location boosting the relationship and culture exchange between the two people.”

The festival has a series of activities including a cuisine experience with a range of Korean products such as fruits, gingseng, and other traditional Korean dishes. Along with various culinary event, there are Korean folk games and festival goers will have the chance to try on the traditional Hanbok clothing.

The highlight of the festival is a K-Pop Lovers programme, which will honour the best K-Pop performers in Hà Nội.

A large screen has been arranged at the event showing a video of Busan’s campaign to host the World Expo 2030 while images of Gamcheon Busan mural village provide a background for locals to pose for check-in photos.

The festival was first held in 2022 with the participation of over 8,000 attendees. – VNS
