Loan performed a mashup of two songs, Lion and Fire. The songs are hits by (G)I-dle and BTS. Dancers and an amazing light show accompanied her performance, which won the audience's hearts and the top prize on Saturday night.
The second prize went to SAP group from Hà Nội, while HCM City-based Trần Thị Thu Thủy and Đà Nẵng's Trần Thị Thanh Nhã took third place.
Group KDC and Nguyễn Ngọc Khanh from HCM City were honoured with Promising Award.
Loan and SAP group received cash prizes of VNĐ20 million (over US$800) and VNĐ10 million, respectively. In addition, two third-place prizes of VNĐ5 million were awarded too, while each of the promising acts also got VNĐ3 million.
The winners will have a chance to perform with Korean K-pop idols at Việt Nam K-EXPO to be held on October 15-16 at National Convention Centre.
The contest Bài Hát K-pop Tôi Yêu (My Beloved K-pop Song) was held by the South Korean Creative Content Agency in Việt Nam (KOCCA Việt Nam) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the relationship between Việt Nam and South Korea.
It took place in Đà Nẵng, HCM City and Hà Nội with the participation of 200 performers.
"KOCCA Việt Nam hopes the contest will help Vietnamese youth to get to know more about Korean culture and promote culture cooperation in the celebration of the 30th anniversary between the two countries," said Hong Jeong-yong, head of KOCCA Việt Nam. - VNS
