ĐÀ NẴNG — The central city of Đà Nẵng, has launched a tourism promotion programme – Enjoy Đà Nẵng – luring tourists to explore destinations with a huge discount at five-star resorts in the city this summer.

Vice director of the city’s tourism department Nguyễn Xuân Bình said the programme aimed to introduce a series of events and resume international flights between April and September, as well as the debut of a New Delhi-Đà Nẵng air route this October.

Bình said more than 200 travel agencies, hotels and transport companies had joined hands to promote tour services by offering the best conditions for tourists with the lowest fees to restart tourism.

The promotion programme aims to draw 3.5 million visitors to the city this year.

“Tourists can enjoy a combined stay at a five-star resort and 45 per cent discount on river tour tickets and a 20 per cent dinner voucher while visiting Đà Nẵng for three days and two nights,” said the director of the city’s tourism promotion centre Nguyễn Thị Hoài An.

“The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines and budget Vietjet Air also co-operate with resorts to offer promotion prices from VNĐ899,000 ($39) to VNĐ2.9 million for a person for a three-day, two-night stay,” she said.

A group of 12 travel agencies and accommodation services agreed to set up an alliance to boost linked tours with Hà Nội, Quảng Ninh, Quảng Nam and HCM City.

Đà Nẵng will focus on Meeting, Incentives, Conferencing and Exhibition (MICE) events – a key product in tourism recovery – as around 5,000 visitors had participated in conferences and meetings.

5,000 runners alone raced in the 2022 Manulife Đà Nẵng International Marathon between February and March.

Five-star Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa – which will host international triathletes of the VNG Ironman Vietnam race to be held in Đà Nẵng on May 7-9 – said it had achieved Facility Accreditation from the Global Biorisk Advisory Council, for a performance-based cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention programme that raised awareness of COVID-19.

The first sea trip on the Phú Quốc Express will depart from Đà Nẵng for Lý Sơn Islands, off the coast of Quảng Ngãi Province, on April 9.

All museums and the Ngũ Hành Sơn (Marble Mountain) landscape will open with free entrance to visitors until the end of the year.

Night beach entertainment on Mỹ Khê Beach and the An Thượng pedestrian zone will open this summer in celebration of the 16th annual Routes Asia Development Forum, an Asia golf tournament, and a sailing race in the city. — VNS
