HÀ NỘI — A dialogue between Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc and the business community will take place on May 9, allowing firms to communicate directly with the Government leader.
The event, which will be carried out online and broadcast live on Vietnam Television, aims to address businesses’ concerns, boost production and restart the economy in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) is tasked with working with the Government Office, the Việt Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and relevant agencies to organise the event.
The MPI is responsible for receiving proposals from enterprises as well as participants. Based on the conclusions of the dialogue, the Government will issue a plan of actions detailing measures to restart the economy.
Dialogues with businesses have been held annually by the Prime Minister from the beginning of his term and the May 9 event is the fourth dialogue with businesses since PM Phúc took office in 2016. — VNS
