VPBank announces scholarship fund

VPBank on Thursday announced its scholarship fund 2018 with two programmes including "VPBank Talent" scholarship and "Home of Talent" with the total value of nearly VNĐ1 billion (US$43,000).

HÀ NỘI — VPBank on Thursday announced funding of VNĐ1 billion (US$43,000) in 2018 for its "VPBank Talent" "Home of Talent" scholarships.

The funds will subsidise 10 golden scholarships with VNĐ15 million each and 35 silver scholarships with VNĐ10 million for the top third and fourth year university students on banking, finance, business administration, accounting and auditing courses nationwide.

Students will also have opportunities to work for VPBank with professional training.

Students will have to go through two rounds to gain the scholarship: Potential Awakening and Talent Shining.

The bank plans to launch the Home of Talent scholarship with more than 100 scholarships awarded to students with outstanding results under an agreement signed with universities.

VPBank has become one of largest commercial joint stock banks in the country. It is in the top five biggest banks in terms of profit.

VPBank has targeted to be in the top 3 most valuable banks in Việt Nam by 2022.

Human resources have been an important part of the bank’s development.
