HCM CITY – The 2018 HCM City Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery Processing Technology Fair and Exhibition opened on September 19 in Tân Bình District, providing networking and promotional opportunities.
The five-day exhibition, organised by the city’s Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and Tân Bình District’s People’s Committee, will promote food safety.
Around 150 stalls are showcasing high quality agricultural products such as flowers, fruits and vegetables, as well as farming and processing technologies for agriculture, forestry and fishery.
The event aims to help consumers gain access to fresh agricultural produce and help businesses keep up to date with modern technologies.
Trần Tấn Quý, deputy director of the department, said the exhibition would also feature discussion panels on processing and preserving produce and water quality management for shrimp farming. – VNS
