Local TV and Daegu agree on TV broadcast co-operation

The central city’s radio and television station has sighed a Memorandum of Understand with the a South Korean Broadcasting Corporation. The plan is, to work closer together to improve TV programming and staff training between DaNangtv, and Daegu Broadcasting Corporation.

ĐÀ NẴNG — The central city’s radio and television station has sighed a Memorandum of Understanding with the South Korean Broadcasting Corporation.

The plan is, to work closer together to improve TV programming and staff training between DaNangtv, and Daegu Broadcasting Corporation.

Director of DaNangtv, Nguyễn Hoài Nam said one of the aims of the deal is to improve relations and co-produce programmes in the future.

Daegu Broadcasting Corporation would help the local TV develop professional education, technical assistance in telecast technology in the digital era.

The MoU was part of series of co-operation deals between Đà Nẵng city and Daegu City, Korea including new direct air route, urban safety and smart disaster prevention as well as general investments.

The local TV station, which is officially broadcasted on two major channels – DaNangtv1 and DaNangtv2 – and the DaNang Radio, has completely switched off analogue signals, making Đà Nẵng the first city in Việt Nam and ASEAN to fully switch to digital broadcasting from 2015.

Đà Nẵng Television programmes can be seen through Mobile TV or IPTV nationwide.

Meanwhile, nine airlines from Korea and Việt Nam are operating 170 direct and chartered flights between Đà Nẵng and Daegu weekly.

Nearly one million Korean tourists visited the central city in 2017, while more than 540,000 Korean travelers have visited Đà Nẵng in the first five months of 2018.

The central city also hosted 112 investment projects from Korea with total US$556 million. —VNS
