HÀ NỘI — The Việt Nam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) will officially issue e-invoices from the beginning of 2018, replacing the traditional paper invoices.

This was announced at the launching ceremony for the e-invoices, held in Hà Nội on Thursday.

Accordingly, the parent group and Petrolimex Hà Sơn Bình will take the lead on rolling out the programme, and other Petrolimex member companies are expected to use e-invoices as of April 1, 2018.

Petrolimex’s issuance of e-invoices accords with the Ministry of Finance’s Circular No 32/2011/TT-BTC, dated March 14, 2011, which guides the creation, issuance and usage of e-invoices in the sale of goods and provision of services.

Petrolimex has researched and carried out the e-invoice project since May 19, 2015, choosing the VNPT-Vinaphone-Dakta Joint Venture through a bidding process as a supplier of solutions.

With the available advantages, including the ERP-SAP human resource management software and petrol station management system - EGAS, Petrolimex’s electronic database is a premise for the convenient and accurate issuance of e-invoices throughout the system.

On the other hand, the issuance of e-invoices will facilitate the effective use of the information technology system in its business and production activities, which is in line with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, contributing to reducing costs and making the petroleum business transparent.

“The issuance of e-invoices is an indispensable trend that helps reduce burdens to administrative procedures, facilitate consumers and lessen business costs. Additionally, State management bodies will find it easier to search for information to control. This practice will benefit all: consumers, the State and enterprises,” Petrolimex’s deputy general director and head of E-Invoice Project Board Trần Ngọc Năm said.

Customers will find it easy to receive e-invoices through email addresses or by visiting the Petrolimex website: https://hoadon.petrolimex.com.vn.

E-invoices are stored in the form of data files and safeguarded against the risk of loss, damage or tearing. Using e-invoices is convenient for units that need to look up and manage goods and costs. Invoices are created in the e-invoice system of Petrolimex and stored in the form of electronic data on the company’s server for 10 years. Data will easily be copied to prevent loss and to be recovered and searched for.

In addition to the supply of high quality products, including EURO 5 standard diesel fuel from January 2018 and EURO 4 standard RON 95 petrol from January 2017, the issuance of e-invoices further strengthens Petrolimex’s leading position in the market. — VNS
