Đặng Đông Hà, deputy director of the provincial Tourism Department, said it is the first international flight for Đồng Hới City and the only flight from Việt Nam to Chiang Mai.
According to Hà, Chiang Mai is the largest province in the north and the second largest tourism hub in Thailand, attracting 10 million visitors in 2016. It is also a transit point for other ASEAN member states.
