ADA — Amway, the world's largest direct selling company by revenue, has completed a US$75 million investment to modernise its Nutrilite Spaulding Plant at the company’s global headquarters in Ada, Michigan.
The project, which officially launched in May 2026, marks a significant milestone in strengthening Amway’s global nutrition manufacturing, research and quality assurance capabilities.
As the centrepiece of the investment, Amway transformed approximately 4,831 square meters of warehouse space into an advanced solid-dose tablet manufacturing facility dedicated to Nutrilite nutritional supplements. The new production line is equipped with more than 500 specialised pieces of equipment, including V-shell mixers, high-speed tablet presses and high-speed capsule-filling systems, significantly increasing production efficiency and capacity to support growing global demand.
Beyond manufacturing expansion, the project also enhances Amway’s scientific and quality infrastructure. The investment includes a new 1,115 square metre microbiology and packaging laboratory, a renovated 1,896-square-meter quality control facility, and a new 2,323 square metre nutrition pilot plant. Together, these facilities support product development, testing, and quality assurance across the entire Nutrilite portfolio, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and performance.
The upgraded facility supports Nutrilite, Amway’s flagship nutrition brand, which comprises 877 products across 136 formulations and serves consumers in more than 100 markets worldwide. The investment is part of Amway’s broader $127.6 million commitment to manufacturing, research, innovation and workplace modernisation at its global headquarters.

The company’s nutrition business is backed by more than 800 scientists, engineers and technicians worldwide, as well as a portfolio of over 750 patents and patent applications. This scientific expertise enables Amway to continue developing evidence-based nutritional solutions that meet evolving consumer needs.
“This iconic new operation represents the next generation in Amway’s global nutrition manufacturing, quality control and innovation,” said Brian Kraus, Chief Supply Chain Officer at Amway.
“The comprehensive investment in the Nutrilite Spaulding Plant marks a significant milestone in our manufacturing infrastructure, positioning us for future growth while enabling the production of high-quality, superior-performing Nutrilite products for Amway distributors around the world.”
The investment is also expected to benefit key international markets, including Việt Nam, which remains one of Amway’s top 10 markets globally by sales. Increased production capacity and enhanced quality capabilities at the Nutrilite Spaulding Plant will help ensure a more stable supply of premium nutritional products for Vietnamese consumers while supporting the continued growth of Amway distributors across the country.
By combining advanced manufacturing technology, expanded research capabilities and rigorous quality control systems, the upgraded Nutrilite Spaulding Plant strengthens Amway’s ability to deliver innovative, science-based nutrition solutions to consumers worldwide and supports the company’s long-term growth strategy in global markets. — VNS
