HCM CITY — Five international exhibitions showcasing technologies for Việt Nam’s energy transition, industrial development, water infrastructure, and digital growth opened in HCM City on November 4 with more than 800 exhibitors from 25 countries and territories.
Organised by Informa Markets Vietnam, the exhibitions are being held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center until November 6, with more than 20,000 trade visitors expected to attend.
The five events are Vietwater, the International Exhibition and Conference on Water Supply, Sanitation, Water Filtration and Wastewater Treatment; Vietnam Energy Week; HVACR Vietnam, the International Exhibition on Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Smart Building Technologies; the Vietnam Supporting Industry Fair; and the International Exhibition and Conference on Data Centers and Cloud Computing.
Vietwater focuses on water security, digital transformation, smart water management, water quality and pollution control, and includes conferences that bring together policymakers, experts, business executives, and academics.
Vietnam Energy Week, supported by the Centre for Energy Information and Electricity Market Development under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, showcases technologies spanning conventional and renewable energy, power transmission and distribution, batteries, and energy storage.

HVACR Vietnam, supported by the Vietnam Society of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers and the ASHRAE Vietnam Chapter, highlights advances in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and smart building systems. Its programme includes an international HVAC conference and the 2026 National Student HVAC Design Competition, designed to foster innovation and help develop a skilled workforce.
Vietnam Supporting Industry, led by the HCM City Department of Industry and Trade, provides domestic manufacturers and suppliers with a platform to showcase their products, strengthen business networks, and forge ties with international partners.
Vietnam Data Center & Cloud Confex, supported by the Vietnam Internet Association, the Vietnam Cloud Computing & Data Center Club, and the HCM City Computer Association, brings together technology providers, infrastructure developers, and digital transformation specialists to explore advances in data centres, cloud computing, and digital infrastructure in Việt Nam and the region.
The exhibitions offer business-matching opportunities, including a hosted buyer programme that arranges one-to-one meetings between buyers, investors, and suppliers.
A series of conferences and forums will explore digital transformation and smart water management, climate-resilient water systems, sponge cities, eco-industrial parks, the energy transition, decarbonising buildings, and AI-powered data centres.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ben Wong, country general manager of Informa Markets Vietnam, said the exhibitions offered an opportunity to witness and contribute to the development of Việt Nam’s industrial sector while bringing international expertise and technologies together with the country’s practical needs.

He said bringing the five sectors under one roof would strengthen links across industrial value chains and open new pathways for cross-sector solutions.
“Việt Nam’s development trajectory makes this platform especially timely. In 2025 alone, the country commenced and inaugurated hundreds of projects with a total investment of more than VNĐ5.14 quadrillion.
“The continued expansion of urban areas, industrial parks, commercial buildings, hospitals, and large-scale infrastructure continues to generate strong demand for reliable water systems, efficient energy solutions, advanced HVACR technologies, high-quality supporting industry products, and resilient digital infrastructure.”
Nguyễn Thị Phương Yến, deputy director of the Centre for Energy Information and Electricity Market Development under the Electricity Regulatory Authority of Việt Nam, said as energy demand continues to rise, Việt Nam needs a modern, efficient energy system capable of adapting to rapid technological advances and changing market conditions.
Achieving this would require stronger institutions and policies, investment in infrastructure, greater innovation and technology adoption, mobilisation of financial resources, and greater public-private cooperation.
She expressed the hope that connections forged at the exhibitions would develop into lasting partnerships, new initiatives, and concrete investment opportunities, contributing to the modernisation and sustainable development of the energy sector. — VNS
