With the theme 'Livestock transformation for better production, nutrition, environment and life', Vietstock 2024, will be jointly organised by the Department of Livestock Production, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Department, and Informa Markets Group.

The annual event represents innovation and industry expertise and is recognised as the premier platform for businesses to showcase cutting-edge technologies, discuss emerging trends and address the challenges facing the livestock and aquaculture sectors in Việt Nam and the ASEAN region.

This year, Vietstock 2024 will occur concurrently with Việt Nam’s International Aquaculture Industry Event - Aquaculture Vietnam 2024. The comprehensive event will bring together over 400 exhibitors and 13,000 attendees from 50 countries and territories worldwide, connecting the entire livestock and aquaculture industry value chain.

Speaking at a press conference on August 7, Dương Tất Thắng, Director General of the Department of Livestock Production, said that livestock currently accounted for more than a quarter of the entire agricultural sector in Việt Nam.

“Vietnamese livestock production has made outstanding new advances in the context of technological development and international integration. The total output of the livestock industry in 2023 increased by 6.38 per cent compared to 2022,” said Thắng.

Not only meeting domestic demand, Việt Nam's livestock products are also exported with a total value of US$515 million in 2023, an increase of 26.2 per cent compared to 2022.

According to Rungphech Chitanuwat, Regional Portfolio Director, ASEAN Informa Markets, Vietstock Expo & Forum has developed an in-depth understanding of the Việt Nam market and the requirements of both businesses and livestock households.
