Viettel gets four new patents from the US

In the first four months of the year, Viettel was granted four new exclusive patents from the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), bringing its total patent granted in the world’s most demanding market to 23.

HÀ NỘI In the first four months of the year, Viettel was granted four new exclusive patents from the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), bringing its total patent granted in the world’s most demanding market to 23.

Viettel is one of the Vietnamese enterprises with the most patents protected exclusively in the US in all three fields of military, civil and telecommunications.

In 2022 and the first quarter of 2023, Viettel had 14 more exclusive patents in the US, 1.5 times higher than the total number of patents granted in the previous three years.

According to the Việt Nam National Office of Intellectual Property, Viettel is one of the leading enterprises in the field of patent registration in Việt Nam with 505 patent applications and 94 granted patents. The average growth rate of Viettel's patent applications is 1.5 times higher than that of the whole of Việt Nam in the 2017-22 period.

Viettel targeted to promote innovation and scientific research activities so that Make in Vietnam and Made by Viettel products would be developed to the world’s level. Its technical solutions which were granted are all practical and highly applicable in the field of registration.
