QUẢNG NINH — Flights between Vân Đồn in the northern province of Quảng Ninh and HCM City will resume on Wednesday (October 27) after being halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Specifically, from Wednesday, there will be three flights a week on the route operated by Bamboo Airways, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

The flights will take off at 3.50pm from HCM City and 6.10pm from Vân Đồn.

Vietjet Air will also restart the operation of flights between the two destinations with a frequency of one flight a day from Sunday (October 31).  Flights will take off at 3.50pm from HCM City and 6.45pm from Vân Đồn.

To meet the pandemic prevention and control regulations, passengers departing from Tân Sơn Nhất airport in HCM City are required to have a negative test result for SARS-CoV-2 by RT-PCR method or quick antigen test with validity no more than 72 hours from departure time.

Meanwhile, passengers travelling from Vân Đồn need to meet one of three conditions, either having been fully vaccinated for over 14 days, or having recovered from COVID-19 within the previous six months or testing negative for COVID-19 within 72 hours before departure.

The resumption of the commercial flights on Vân Đồn – HCM City is to meet travel needs between the above-mentioned localities as the Government allows the reopening of regular domestic air routes to ensure safe, flexible adaption to and effective control of COVID-19. — VNS
