HÀ NỘI — The Mekong Delta province of Đồng Tháp launched its rice varieties in the capital’s Hapromart on Saturday.

The Hà Nội Trade Corporation (Hapro) can now sell three varieties of high-quality rice grown in Đồng Tháp---Japonica, “Hương lài sữa dẻo” and “Hương 9 rồng”---to consumers in the capital. These rice grains are harvested, processed and packed at Hapro’s rice mill in Lai Vung District in Đồng Tháp Province.

With the advantages of soil and natural conditions, Đồng Tháp rice is superior to others as it contains high nutrients.

Hapro’s rice mill in Đồng Tháp meets the technical requirements set by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. In addition to this, the factory organises the purchase, milling, processing and packaging of rice in accordance with export standards. The resultant rice grains are delicious, clean and safe, with closed production and processing procedures meeting food safety standards.

Đồng Tháp rice in Hapro’s distribution system ensures maximum nutrient content after being harvested.

Over the past years, Đồng Tháp rice from Hapro’s mill has been exported to many countries in the world, such as the Philippines, China, Indonesia, Malaysia and some Middle Eastern countries.

Currently, Hapro distributes and sells Đồng Tháp rice at both wholesale and retail rates in other provinces and cities in the country, besides directly selling it in 30 supermarkets, CHTI Hapromart, Haprofood of the corporation in Hà Nội as well as some other provinces. — VNS
