Việt Nam’s benchmark VN-Index surged on Wednesday after a six-day losing streak as investor sentiment improved following solid data of PMI in June and steep cuts in interest rates of some banks.
Trade improved in the afternoon session and concluded the first session of 2020 on a positive note on the two national stock exchanges.
On the Hồ Chí Minh Stock Exchange, the VN-Index edged down 0.33 per cent to close Friday at 975.40 points.
