HÀ NỘI — An international U15 girls' football tournament will be held on September 1-5 in Hà Nội.
Teams from Myanmar, Hong Kong, Iceland and hosts Việt Nam will compete in a round robin format. The team with the most points will be champions.
"Together with the U15 tournament for boys which is ongoing in Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu, this event is one of projects under the UEFA Assist Programme to focus on developing youth football," said Nguyễn Thanh Hà, deputy general secretary of the Việt Nam Football Federation and head of the tournament organising board.
To prepare for the competition, coach Lê Tuấn Long and his players have been training since early this month.
The visitors will arrive Hà Nội on August 30. They will have two days to train ahead of the matches which will be live aired on the VFF's YouTube channel and Facebook page. — VNS
